A very Merry Christmas..

Hope every single one of you relax, enjoy and spend time with loved ones over the holiday period, be safe and i cant wait to get stuck into 2011 with many exciting things to happen here at Hilda Mae.


I will be celebrating Christmas with my close family, Peats Ridge Festival with all my good friends and a camping trip up north with my other half. But i also have been and will be making some exciting new items!

I finally just wrapped up work on the website and a preview will be coming shortly. Work on the next collection is about to start and i cant wait to have a clean slate with fresh new ideas! So let me know what your thoughts are so far :) Have a great late night shopping night :)

I don't think there is anything better than an Aussie Christmas. The cicadas singing, the sky blue and my very favourite a swim at the beach to cool down after a scorching day. Well to tell you the truth i haven't been anywhere else during the Christmas holidays but in my opinion nothing beats loading anything more than the tent, a few sarongs and a good book in the car, driving north along the beautiful beaches. Pure bliss. 

The count down is on until total relaxation.. 5 days woo hoo! But don't you worry i have hundreds of new photos coming your way!

look book

Over the past couple of days i have been thinking about what to write in my 'about' section on my website. As you have probably realised I'm not much of a writer, not that i don't know what to say, just not knowing how to say it is more of the problem.. If you do know me you would of realised i just keep talking in a round about way until i make sense orrr i maybe i never do :S. I do have a whole lot to say most of the time, but when i click on a blank page all about me and Hilda Mae... i get nothing... fancy that! 


I guess that why i like to turn to anything in the form of art hold it up and say, you get it? So hopefully my pictures are a whole lot of words -but i will try my best to get better i promise!!!!


So i had to get that out the way lets start again shall we :)
The photography below is a combination of what my first collection revolves around, i love variation and contrast , i like to put things together that aren't the most predictable. My vision of Bohemian Glamour was my main inspiration. Think a cross between Mary Kate and Ashely Olsen. Or Tree of Life and Cue!

let the games begin

After such an eventful week, it was a nice surprise to receive my Swing Tags and labels. It was so much fun finally being able to brand my clothes.. but the thought of stitching them all will be a big effort! 
Another amazing photo shoot is planned this weekend so fingers crossed this silly weather goes away and we can enjoy a true aussie summer. 
I'm guessing the rain has stopped for the moment as the cicada's outside my window are making such a noise! 
Hope you enjoy this little post as another piece of this huuuge puzzle falls together ( if only a fairy would sew the labels on for me.... Mum?)

Just thought id be nice and give you all an insight to the happenings at Hilda Mae lately.

Here we are the last lot of garments form the shoot the other weekend. The Hilda Mae Sheer Black ruffle    shift and also the Hilda Mae Structured Ruffle. Hope you all are having a wonderful Monday night i know i am after a yummy dinner @ the haven, Terrigal. Asian Chef yum yum.

Also exciting news coming up our lovely friends have let us borrow their cute home for a shoot this coming weekend so fingers crossed for the sun to shine :) 

a little bit of lace

 Hello Monday- i think the main thing to keep me going today and very slowly i might add is this will be the 3rd last Monday of the working year! I will focus on that.

Over the weekend we had a few interesting moments, one of the most exciting ones was the purchase of our very first giveaway!!! So very exciting i just had to buy a copy for myself. but shhh don't tell! i was meant to be Christmas shopping :D So in the next 2 weeks i will be launching this and hopefully you will all fall in love or already be in love, as i did!
